Ingredients
Ground beef
Kidney beans
Pinto beans
Diced tomatoes
Tomato sauce
Green bell pepper (chopped)

Instructions
Heat a large pot over medium-high heat and add the ground beef
Break apart the beef with a spoon and cook until browned
Drain excess grease from the pot

Stir in chili powder cumin garlic powder salt and black pepper
Let the spices cook for 30 seconds to enhance flavor
Pour in the diced tomatoes tomato sauce and water or beef broth
Add kidney beans and pinto beans stirring well to combine
Bring to a boil then reduce heat and let simmer for at least 30 minutes
For a thicker chili mash some of the beans against the side of the pot
Serve hot topped with shredded cheese green onions or sour cream

For a thicker chili let it simmer uncovered for an extra 15 minutes
