Description

This Bisquick Quiche Lorraine is a quick and easy twist on the French classic. Made with crispy bacon, melted cheese, and a rich, creamy egg custard, it’s the perfect dish for breakfast, brunch, or even a light dinner. The Bisquick baking mix forms a light, delicate crust as it bakes, so there’s no need for a separate pie crust. Enjoy a fluffy, cheesy, and satisfying quiche with minimal effort and maximum flavor

Ingredients

For the Quiche

Four large eggs
One and a half cups milk
Half cup heavy cream
Half cup Bisquick baking mix
Six slices crispy bacon crumbled
One cup shredded Gruyère or Swiss cheese
Half teaspoon salt
Quarter teaspoon black pepper
One teaspoon Dijon mustard
Half teaspoon onion powder optional

Instructions

Prepping the Ingredients

Preheat the oven to 375°F 190°C
Grease a nine-inch pie dish with butter or nonstick spray
Cook the bacon until crispy then crumble into small pieces
Grate the cheese and set aside

Making the Custard Mixture

In a large mixing bowl whisk together eggs milk and heavy cream
Gradually add Bisquick mix while whisking to prevent lumps
Stir in Dijon mustard salt black pepper and onion powder

Assembling and Baking the Quiche

Evenly sprinkle bacon and cheese at the bottom of the prepared pie dish
Pour the Bisquick custard mixture over the top
Bake for 35 to 40 minutes until the center is set and the top is golden brown
Let the quiche rest for at least 10 minutes before slicing and serving

Notes

For a vegetarian version substitute the bacon with sautéed mushrooms or spinach
If using frozen bacon or pre-cooked bacon make sure to drain excess grease to avoid a soggy quiche
For extra flavor add a pinch of nutmeg or swap out Gruyère for cheddar or feta
Store leftovers in the fridge for up to three days and reheat in the oven at 325°F 160°C for best texture
