Ingredients
1 pound ground turkey
2 cups cooked rice
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 cloves garlic minced
1 small onion chopped
1 medium bell pepper diced
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon chili powder optional
1/2 cup shredded cheese optional
Instructions
Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat
Add onion and garlic sautéing until fragrant
Add ground turkey breaking it apart as it cooks until browned
Stir in bell pepper tomato sauce and seasonings
Mix in cooked rice and let everything simmer for five minutes
Top with shredded cheese if desired and serve warm
Notes
Use brown rice for a healthier option
For extra spice add red pepper flakes or more chili powder
