Description

This Sticky Beef Noodles recipe features tender beef, garlic, soy sauce, and brown sugar tossed with noodles in a sweet, savory, and sticky glaze that rivals your favorite takeout.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
8 oz cooked egg noodles or ramen noodles
1 teaspoon sesame oil
2 green onions, sliced
1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

Toss the sliced beef with cornstarch and set aside for 10 minutes.
In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, and chili flakes if using.
Heat a large pan or wok over medium-high heat and add vegetable oil.
Sear the beef in batches for 2–3 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
In the same pan, add the sauce and simmer for 2–3 minutes until thickened.
Add the cooked noodles and return the beef to the pan. Toss everything together until well coated.
Drizzle with sesame oil and toss again.
Serve hot, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

For best results, freeze the beef for 15 minutes before slicing for cleaner cuts. Substitute chicken, shrimp, or tofu for a different protein. You can use spaghetti or rice noodles as alternatives to egg noodles. Adjust the spice level with more or less chili flakes.
