Instructions

Prepare the Steak
Season both sides of the steak with salt, pepper, oregano, and basil Heat olive oil in a large skillet over high heat Sear the steak for 2 to 3 minutes per side until a golden crust forms Reduce the heat and cook to your desired doneness Let the steak rest for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing into thin strips

Cook the Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil Add the pasta and cook until al dente according to package instructions Reserve 1 cup of pasta water then drain the pasta

Make the Tomato Sauce
In the same skillet used for the steak heat olive oil over medium heat Add the minced garlic and chopped onion sautéing until fragrant and translucent Stir in the diced tomatoes red pepper flakes and sugar if using Pour in the broth and let the sauce simmer for 15 to 20 minutes until thickened Season with salt and pepper to taste

Combine the Dish
