Ingredients
For the Beef
Ground beef 1 pound
Soy sauce ¼ cup
Brown sugar 2 tablespoons
Garlic minced 3 cloves
Ginger grated 1 teaspoon
Sesame oil 1 teaspoon
Red pepper flakes ½ teaspoon
Green onions chopped 2 stalks
Sesame seeds 1 tablespoon
For Serving
Cooked white rice 2 cups
Instructions
In a small bowl mix soy sauce brown sugar sesame oil minced garlic grated ginger and red pepper flakes Set aside
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat Add ground beef and cook for 4 to 5 minutes breaking it apart with a wooden spoon until browned Drain excess grease
Pour the prepared sauce over the beef Stir well and cook for 2 to 3 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the beef
Stir in chopped green onions and sesame seeds Remove from heat
Serve the beef mixture over cooked white rice Garnish with extra green onions and sesame seeds if desired
Notes
For extra spice add a teaspoon of gochujang Korean chili paste
For a low-carb version serve with cauliflower rice instead of white rice
