This rich, layered dessert features a soft chocolate chip cookie dough base, crunchy Oreos, and fudgy brownie batter for the ultimate indulgence.
Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar
½ cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 package Oreo cookies
1 batch brownie batter (boxed mix or homemade)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing just until incorporated.
Fold in the chocolate chips with a spatula.
Press the cookie dough evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
Layer the Oreo cookies in a single layer on top of the cookie dough.
Pour the brownie batter evenly over the Oreos, spreading to cover all cookies.
Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs.
Let cool for at least 20 minutes before cutting into squares. Refrigerate for cleaner cuts.
Notes
For extra flavor, sprinkle sea salt on top before baking. You can freeze unbaked dough for up to 3 months. Substitute gluten-free flour for a gluten-free version.
