Ingredients
1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
2 sausage links sliced
2 cups broccoli florets
1/4 cup honey
1/3 cup soy sauce low-sodium
4 cloves garlic minced
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes if using. Heat one tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the sausage slices and cook until browned and slightly crispy, about five minutes. Remove and set aside. Add another tablespoon of olive oil to the same pan. Cook the shrimp for one to two minutes per side until pink and slightly curled, then remove and set aside. Add broccoli to the pan and sauté for three to four minutes until bright green and slightly tender. Return the shrimp and sausage to the pan, pour in the honey garlic sauce, and stir well. Let it cook for another two minutes until the flavors combine. Serve immediately with your favorite side dish.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the shrimp in the sauce for 15 minutes before cooking. If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix one teaspoon of cornstarch with one tablespoon of water and add it to the pan. For a low-carb version, swap honey for a keto-friendly sweetener and serve over cauliflower rice.
