This flaky ham and cheese puff pastry pocket is filled with savory layers and golden perfection. Ready in just 30 minutes!
Ingredients
1 box puff pastry sheets, thawed
8–10 slices ham
4–6 slices Swiss, cheddar, or Gruyère cheese
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Fresh thyme or rosemary (optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F. Line baking sheet with parchment.
Unfold pastry sheets and cut each into 4 rectangles.
Spread Dijon mustard on half of the pieces.
Top with ham and cheese.
Cover with another piece of pastry.
Seal edges with a fork.
Brush tops with egg wash.
Sprinkle herbs if using.
Bake 20–25 minutes until golden and puffed.
Serve warm with dipping sauce or soup.
Notes
Best served hot and fresh. Can be frozen baked or unbaked. Use sharp cheese for added flavor.
