Description
Soft, fluffy, and packed with rich garlic and butter flavor, this easy skillet flatbread recipe is perfect for dipping, wrapping, or devouring on its own.
Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
¾ cup plain Greek yogurt
1 tsp baking powder
¼ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
3 tbsp unsalted butter
3 garlic cloves, finely minced
1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)
Pinch of sea salt
Instructions
In a large bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Add Greek yogurt and stir until a dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for 3 to 5 minutes until smooth.
Divide the dough into 6 equal pieces and roll each into a flat disc about 6 to 8 inches wide.
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat.
Cook each flatbread for 2 minutes on each side until golden and slightly puffed.
In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 to 2 minutes.
Stir in parsley and a pinch of salt, then remove from heat.
Brush garlic butter over each flatbread immediately after cooking.
Serve warm or store for later use.
Notes
You can substitute Greek yogurt with regular plain yogurt reduce the amount slightly since it’s thinner. Add shredded cheese or herbs to the dough for extra flavor. Flatbreads can be frozen and reheated in a dry skillet.
