Dolly’s Chicken and Stuffing Casserole

Description

Dolly’s chicken and stuffing casserole is a creamy, savory, and soul-warming dish filled with tender chicken, buttery stuffing, and love.


Ingredients

Scale

3 cups shredded cooked chicken
1 box stuffing mix (6 oz)
1 can cream of chicken soup
¾ cup sour cream
½ cup chicken broth
4 tbsp melted butter
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional: chopped onions or celery (½ cup)


Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13 baking dish.
In a bowl, combine chicken, soup, sour cream, broth, and optional vegetables.
In another bowl, mix stuffing with melted butter.
Spread half the stuffing in the dish, then top with chicken mixture.
Add the remaining stuffing on top.
Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
Uncover and bake for an additional 10–15 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

Let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Great for meal prep and freezing.
