Garlic minced 3 cloves
Kidney Beans drained and rinsed 1 can 15 oz
Black Beans drained and rinsed 1 can 15 oz
Diced Tomatoes with juice 1 can 28 oz
Tomato Paste 1 can 6 oz
Beef Broth 1 cup
Chili Powder 1 tbsp
Cumin 1 tsp
Paprika 1 tsp
Cayenne Pepper optional 1/2 tsp
Salt and Pepper to taste


Instructions

Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked then drain any excess fat
Transfer the cooked beef to the slow cooker
Add diced onions minced garlic beans diced tomatoes tomato paste and beef broth
Sprinkle chili powder cumin paprika cayenne pepper salt and pepper over the mixture and stir to combine
Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or on high for 3 to 4 hours stirring occasionally
Taste and adjust seasonings as needed before serving

Notes

For a leaner dish use 90 percent lean ground beef and drain excess fat
To enhance flavor let the chili rest for 10 minutes before serving
