Ingredients
Pie crust homemade or store-bought 1
Cooked salmon flaked 1 cup
Eggs 4
Heavy cream 1 cup
Milk 1/2 cup
Grated cheese cheddar gruyère or parmesan 1/2 cup
Salt 1/2 tsp
Black pepper 1/4 tsp
Chopped fresh dill 1 tbsp
Chopped green onions 2 tbsp
Optional Additions
Chopped spinach sautéed mushrooms or crumbled feta for extra flavor
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F 190°C and prepare a 9-inch pie dish with a pie crust Prick the bottom with a fork and blind-bake for 10 minutes with baking weights then remove weights and bake for another 5 minutes
Flake the cooked salmon into small pieces and set aside If using fresh salmon bake or pan-sear until fully cooked before flaking
In a bowl whisk together eggs heavy cream milk salt and black pepper until smooth
Spread the flaked salmon evenly over the pre-baked crust Sprinkle grated cheese chopped dill and green onions over the salmon
Slowly pour the egg custard mixture over the filling ensuring even distribution
Bake at 350°F 175°C for 35-40 minutes or until the quiche is golden and set The center should have a slight jiggle when gently shaken
Let cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving Enjoy your creamy salmon quiche
Notes
For extra crispiness on the crust brush with an egg wash before baking
Avoid overfilling the quiche to prevent a soggy texture
