1 chicken breast diced
1/2 pound shrimp peeled and deveined

1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon cumin optional
1 onion diced
2 cloves garlic minced

1 bell pepper chopped

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes for spice


Instructions

Step 1 Prepare the Ingredients
Rinse the rice under cold water and drain
Season the chicken with garlic powder paprika salt and black pepper
Pat dry the shrimp and season lightly

Step 2 Cook the Chicken and Shrimp
Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat
Add diced chicken and cook for 5 to 7 minutes until golden brown then remove from the pan
Add shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side until pink then remove

Step 3 Cook the Rice
In the same skillet add diced onions and garlic and sauté until fragrant
Pour in the rice and stir for 1 minute to coat with seasonings
Add the broth and bring to a boil then reduce heat and let it simmer covered for 15 to 20 minutes until the rice is tender

Step 4 Combine Everything
Return the cooked chicken and shrimp to the skillet and mix well
Let everything cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes to allow the flavors to blend

Step 5 Serve and Enjoy
Garnish with fresh herbs like cilantro or parsley and serve hot

Notes
