Description
A savory and wholesome broccoli salmon quiche recipe made with eggs, cheese, salmon, and broccoli in a flaky crust perfect for brunch or meal prep.
Ingredients
1 prepared 9-inch pie crust
1 cup steamed broccoli florets, chopped
1 cup cooked salmon, flaked and boneless
4 large eggs
1 cup half-and-half or milk
1/2 cup shredded Gruyère or Swiss cheese
1/4 cup chopped green onions
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Pinch of paprika (optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, half-and-half, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
Distribute the broccoli and salmon evenly across the bottom of the crust.
Sprinkle shredded cheese and green onions over the salmon and broccoli.
Pour the egg mixture gently over the fillings to fill the crust.
Top with a light dusting of paprika if using.
Bake for 40 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is golden.
Let cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For added flavor, use smoked salmon or add a teaspoon of Dijon mustard to the egg mixture. You can also make this crustless by greasing the pie dish well and skipping the crust. Frozen broccoli works if thawed and drained well.
