Ingredients
Unsalted butter 1/2 cup (113g)
Semi-sweet chocolate 4 oz (113g)
Granulated sugar 3/4 cup (150g)
Eggs 2 large
Vanilla extract 1 tsp
All-purpose flour 1/2 cup (65g)
Cocoa powder 2 tbsp
Salt 1/4 tsp
Cream cheese softened 16 oz (450g)
Powdered sugar 1/2 cup (60g)
Egg 1 large
Heavy cream 1/4 cup (60ml)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C) and grease a 9-inch springform pan
Melt butter and chocolate together until smooth then whisk in sugar
Add eggs one at a time mixing well then stir in vanilla extract
Sift flour cocoa powder and salt then fold into the batter
Pour the brownie batter into the pan and bake for 15 minutes
Beat cream cheese until smooth then mix in powdered sugar egg heavy cream and vanilla extract
Pour the cheesecake batter over the brownie layer smoothing the top
Place the pan in a water bath and bake for 40–45 minutes until set
Let the cheesecake cool gradually then refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving

Use room-temperature ingredients for a smooth cheesecake texture
Partially bake the brownie layer to prevent sogginess
Bake in a water bath to prevent cracks on the cheesecake
