A cozy, one-pot beef and noodles recipe made with tender stew beef, savory beef broth, and egg noodles for the ultimate comfort meal.
Ingredients
1 lb beef stew meat (chuck or round)
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1 onion, diced
4 cups beef broth
2 cups egg noodles
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp black pepper
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp salt (or to taste)
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Heat oil in a Dutch oven over medium heat.
Add beef and sear on all sides until browned.
Add diced onion and cook until translucent.
Stir in garlic powder, black pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and salt.
Pour in beef broth and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 45 minutes.
Remove the lid, stir in egg noodles, and cook uncovered for 10–12 minutes until noodles are tender.
Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
Notes
Chuck roast or round steak work best for tenderness.
Add mushrooms, peas, or carrots for variation.
For creamy noodles, stir in 1-2 tbsp sour cream at the end.
To reheat, add a splash of broth to revive the consistency.
