Ingredients
1 pound ground turkey
4 cups chopped green cabbage
1 medium onion chopped
3 cloves garlic minced
1 can diced tomatoes 14 oz
1 cup tomato sauce
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup shredded cheese optional
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F or 190°C
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat
Add chopped onions and garlic and sauté until fragrant
Add ground turkey breaking it apart as it cooks until browned
Stir in cabbage and cook for about five minutes until slightly softened
Add diced tomatoes tomato sauce paprika salt and black pepper mixing well
Transfer mixture to a baking dish and top with shredded cheese if using
Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly
Let cool slightly before serving
Notes
Use Napa cabbage for a softer texture or red cabbage for added color
For a low-carb version replace tomato sauce with heavy cream and cheese
